1. Create a series that fits your group
Open the series section and choose to create a series. Enter a name, start date and duration. Choose a future start date if you want a day or two to prepare and invite people first.
- Just me: a personal series without other participants.
- By invitation: a series for people who receive your code. It is not intended for the public discovery catalogue.
- Open series: other users can discover it and choose to join.
Select an available participant limit. Keep an invitation-only series code out of public posts: someone who receives the code may use it to join.
2. Invite friends and choose personal goals
Share the invitation code from the series. Your friend installs or opens the app, signs in, opens the series section and enters the code. Manual code entry also works after a fresh installation.
When joining, each person completes a short questionnaire. Choose personal habits for the series directions, such as mental wellbeing, a habit to leave behind and a new helpful habit. Select an available habit or add your own. These choices belong to that participant; they do not replace everyone else's goals.
The first screen is the result section with the questionnaire. Completing it unlocks the calendar and participant views. If rewards are enabled and voting is still open, you can select a reward proposal or suggest one of your own.
3. Where to check in
Record the habits you selected on Today. The series also provides a way to get to your check-ins. Linked habit records feed into series progress after synchronisation.
To update an earlier day, open Progress, select the date in your calendar and adjust its check-ins. Save, allow the app to sync, then check the same date in the series.
4. Read the shared calendar
Select a date to see participant check-ins for that day. Green circles indicate completed directions in the series, not every habit in that person's profile.
The participant view shows people's selected goals and progress. The result view shows the shared score and, when rewards are enabled, the vote or its final outcome. The group result uses participant results for eligible days, not the number of messages or likes.
5. Decide whether you want a reward
A series can be created with or without a reward. Without a reward, the calendar and progress still work and there is no required reward vote. With a reward, the creator provides an initial reward and an agreement for finishing below the target.
While voting is open, participants can vote for a proposal or suggest their own. A shared meal, for example, could be an alternative to a cinema trip. The current leader is not a final decision.
6. When voting closes
The deadline is set when the series is created. Voting stays open for at least 24 hours and does not end before the end of the first series day in the series time zone. Use the deadline displayed in the series as your reference.
- At least 60% of counted participants must vote, rounded up to a whole person.
- The proposal with the most votes wins if there is no tie.
- A tie, insufficient participation or no proposals leaves the creator's initial reward in place.
- After the deadline, the server records the final decision. There is no separate approval to complete outside the app; the outcome appears in the result section.
For example, with 10 counted participants, at least 6 votes are needed. A 4–2 result gives the first proposal the win. A 3–3 tie keeps the initial reward.
7. Who arranges the reward?
At the end, compare the series result with its target score, such as 75. Reaching a target and delivering a reward are different things: the app shows progress, while the participants carry out their agreement.
No automatic payments: the app does not pay for a trip, book a meal or charge a charity donation. Participants agree on any amount, recipient and practical arrangements themselves.
8. Changes and troubleshooting
The creator manages available series settings and deletion through the series menu. A participant's habit-selection action changes that person's own goals. Do not assume that rules already locked after voting can still be freely edited.
If progress looks unchanged, check the start date, whether you completed the questionnaire, the check-in date and whether the habit matches your selected series goal. Allow the app to sync and refresh the screen. If the issue remains, contact support with your app version, date and a description of the action — not your password or private invitation code.
